This card is WAY behind in posting… it was the Congratulations Card I made for my Top 10 Sales Achievers for the month of March! In my defense, they did just get distributed at the April Retreat Weekend (we didn't have a First Thursday Team Time due to the Retreat Weekend) and then I was on vacation… I know, excuses, excuses! Here it is!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

For the chipboard star on this card, I ran a piece of So Saffron Cardstock through the Big Shot Machine with the Polka Dot Impressions Folder prior to adhering it to the chipboard for a little extra "texture!"
In need of a different way to tie ribbon around a card? Sick of the same old same old? Try this! Use the Horizontal Slot Punch to punch into the card, and then string your ribbon around through that instead of the other edge of the card – a new look in an easy step!
The blue used here, "Bermuda Bay" will be retiring and gone forever on June 30th!!! Order it while you still can!
The sentiment "A Star is Born!" came from the Level 1 Exclusive Stamp Set "Picture This" in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Stay tuned, I'll have it for sale on July 1st!

I know, I know…. it's been WAY too long since I've posted some samples!!! I've been beyond busy with Spring Retreat Preparations and Home Life — having an almost 1 Year Old who has just discovered his mobility doesn't leave much time for stamping! Gone are the days that he played in one area while I stamped – now it's "You touch a stamp mom and I'll climb the stairs!" – but I wouldn't trade being home with him and working a little less for the world!! I really love the flexibility of running my own business and working on my own terms… it just hasn't left all of you with many samples this past week!

So I'll make up for it and show you THREE samples today!!! Only I didn't design a single one, but that's OK!

My 2nd Level Upline, Missy Shipman, has "unofficially" rolled me up to her first level in terms of recognition and incentives this year so that I receive a little extra support and encouragement – it's so nice to have someone being in that role for me! ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

I don't generally do monochromatic cards, but I saw this layout in an old catalog done in So Saffron and really loved the look – so decided to try it with Stars and Pumpkin Pie instead!
The stamp set used here, "Starring You" is a stamp set that you can take for FREE until the end of the month during Sale-A-Bration! I just love that Stampin' Up! is allowing us to pick stamp sets for under $16 this year!
I used the "Scallop Border Punch" to create the scallop edges on the Whisper White Cardstock. I think this was my first time using this edge punch on 2 edges like this with a piece of cardstock in the middle… a little different!
