A Love Note Message
I'm sorry for my lack of exciting posts lately!! I've been busy, busy, busy preparing for the Stampin' Up! Regional that is coming to Syracuse, NY. We have a big crew going, and I've been getting details together for them, making gifts, planning our special extra events around regional…. and of course working on SWAPs!! Needless to say, there hasn't been much time for extra stamping, and there really hasn't been the time to upload and edit photos! So there's my excuse!
But I do have something to share with you today. We had our Team Fabric Play Day a couple weekends ago, and I made up a bunch of little Valentine Gifts for the gals that attended. Here they are!
ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS: 
- These little jars are the same jars that I used back at Halloween Time for my Spooky Place Card Settings in this post. I just love working with them! They are sold at various wedding sections of stores to be used as wedding favors, but they already put the slits in the top of the cork for holding a place card setting. Instead of using it as a place card, for this project I used the cork slit to hold a little Love Note as a unique way to send some Valentine Love.
- This stamp set, priceless, is just perfect for Valentine's Day, though it can be used any time of year! I just love the style of flourishes and dots.
- I have been having lots of fun playing with grey papers, and according to a recent article I read in a decorating magazine, grey is the color of 2010! So I guess I'm on track!!! Using both Basic Grey and Going Grey together looks wonderful.
- The hearts were punched out using Raw Decor Element Sheets – refer back to this post when I made Christmas Ornaments using these sheets and punches for some tips and tricks on how to get it to punch well.

You mean EVERYTHING to me.
A couple of months ago at our Team Christmas Party we did a Valentine SWAP to have some ideas on hand for the upcoming holiday. Well, I set this gem aside to share with you all closer to the date – and here it is!
Team Member Jen Rios Raner made this card – and I just adore it! The card is even more fitting for her, because her husband's name is Eric — so the "E" on the top can stand for Eric in her case — or the word "Everything" in red for the rest of us! Very clever 
ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS: 
- Sick of just tying your ribbon in a knot around a cardstock layer? Try this fun little trick that Jen did here with using one ribbon piece around another for a knotless use of ribbon – love it!
- The texture plates are a wonderful way to add some extra "umph" to a card – check out the diamonds in the background of the red cardstock here.
- Bring out your Stampin' Write Markers when you want to draw extra attention to a word! Just ink up the word you want to draw attention to in another color, as done here with the word "everything."

While I was away at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference, I had the opportunity to attend Manager's Reception – a fun, FUN night out for Manager's & Above with the company! This year we went to a ranch and had an awesome Fiesta! It's tradition that we receive a free stamp set each Manager's Reception, and this year was no exception!
