Button Latte Circus
My goal for this card was to use these 2 buttons from the Button Latte Designer Button Pack in a unique way. Here's what I came up with!
ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS: 
- The white flower button in the middle of the scallop image is jazzed up by punching out a Bermuda Bay circle from the Crop-A-Dile, attaching it with a Mini Glue Dot, and lacquering the top with Crystal Effects!
- The brown flower button on the lower right hand corner got it's attitude by slicing off a thin piece of White Cardstock and tying it through the button – no ribbon needed!
- Adding punched out images – textured punch outs over top of solid in the same tone – is a great way to add some sass, as shown here with the circle background!

Beautiful Wings of Friends
I had SO much fun making this card! I don't usually work with such bright colors, but I found it in a Demonstrator Resource on Color Combinations and that I would give it a try – I'm glad I did!
ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS: 
- These precious butterflies couldn't be easier to make with the Big Shot and Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die that is in the new Occasions Mini Catalog! Just run a pieces of cardstock through the machine sandwiched in an embosslit and these little beauties is the end result — cut out and dry embossed all in one BIG Shot!
- I cut out the paper centers of the Metal Edge Tags with a Hobby Blade – these tags take on a wonderfully different look using them in this way! I used Crystal Effects to adhere them to the page.
- I cut off the piping end from a piece of White Grosgrain Ribbon to tie through the button – refer to this past post for more details on this technique!

Leadership SWAP!
I've been hard at work putting together my SWAPS for Leadership!! I cut down this year and am only making up 64 of these… but we're snowed in today and I have some extra time on my hands, so I just might get to doing another design… we'll see how these go!

Razzleberry Blush Winter Post
I received this beautiful card in the mail from one of my downline, Fern Legters. Didn't she do a fabulous job!? I just love how she's combined Blush Blossom with Rich Razzleberry. I hardly ever pull out Blush Blossom, it's so refreshing to see!

- The Top Note Die makes a wonderful backdrop for collage stamping – and this stamp set, Winter Post, is the perfect stamp set for such a task! With it's odds and ends pieces, it takes the guesswork out of this technique and lends itself to a fabulous Vintage look!
- Blush Blossom is a wonderful color to pull into this rich toned card – it balances out the deep tones that Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede bring to the card – a great balance!
- Of course, Stampin' Up! has designed a punch to coordinate with this "Dec. 25" Stamp — pair it with the Designer Label Punch and you won't have to cut!

Stenciled Gift Wrapping
As any stamper knows, the presentation of a gift is often just as important as the gift itself! So for my hat, glove, scarf gift set, I had to come up with something exciting in the way of packaging. I decided it was time to break out the stencils for this job!
ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS: 
- I used Sponge Daubers to apply the inks to the box. The colors I selected for the base of the ornaments were Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay. Rich Razzleberry and Rose Red Classic Inks.
- Each motif on the ornaments was done with Platinum Shimmer Paint.
- When using Shimmer Paint for stenciling, be sure to pick up just a very small amount of paint with your dauber and dab lightly. With a medium that is runny in consistency, it can be easy to apply the paint to heavily, causing "oozing" of the paint where it doesn't belong.
- To do a metallic Shimmer Paint Base as done on the coordinating Gift Card, you need to use a Craft Ink for the motif overlay. The Classic Ink will absorb right back into the paint and you'll be left with a disappearing image!
- Masking is made easy when using jumbo post it notes!

Bright, Retro, Birthday Wishes!
Ooooooh, what a morning! My little guy had a very rough night last night, I took him to the doctor this morning and the poor thing has an ear infection. Needless to say my morning has been quite a busy one! My mom watches him every Monday, so today is normally my Stampin' Up! filled day, but Mommy Duties took over. But, he's hanging with Grandma now and I'm going to scramble to get things done!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS: 
- Circles, circles and more circles! The Circle Scissors Plus is how I made all of my circles. Be sure to pair this circle cutter with the Glass Mat and Dotto for best results! The Dotto is an absolute must to keep your cardstock in place.
- Be sure to use StazOn when coloring in images and applying Crystal Effects, as shown here with the Birthday Cake. It will prevent bleeding keep your image looking nice and crisp!
- Chipboard is a fabulous way to add some extra dimension! I used the ring from "Lots of Letters" to add this extra element.
