MDS Friday: Remembrance
It's time for another My Digital Studio Friday Challenge & Blog Hop!!!
This week's challenge was "REMEMBRANCE !" It's been a while since I've worked on my 2009 album with all of the projects I've had going on — and I REALLY need to get back to that – before 2011 ends! So I looked through my photos to see what I could use to fit the theme, and found some Memorial Day and thought that would fit – remembrance, memorial…. 'ya know!
So here is the page I came up with:

This page is such a hodgepodge of things!!! The background paper is from Well Worn, the strip along the bottom is from the Noteworthy Digital Content CD and a thin strip of cardstock with some stitching. The stamp brushes I used as well as the star shape are all from Red, White and Blue Embellishments Kit. Then we have some Vintage Trinkets, Deck the Halls Buttons and Baker's Twine!

MDS Friday: Calendars!
It's time for another My Digital Studio Friday Challenge & Blog Hop!!!
This week's challenge is "CALENDARS!" I've been working a lot on calendars lately, so I thought I would share a couple. This first one is one that I made for my husband to have at work – not only does he have a useful calendar out of the deal, but he can see our son, Landon, while he's at work. He misses him a lot, so this was a fun way to give him lots of pictures

This WHOLE CALENDAR started with a download template! I just ADORE templates…. it makes things SO EASY! This is the "Year to Remember 2012 Calendar" download (127619):
The ONLY change I made to the template was dragging in photos over top of the 12×12 designer papers they had in place, and then adding some Digital Tape (you can get some for FREE over at MyDigitalStudio.net over the next few days!!!) to the corners.
Above is what the whole January spread looks like, here are a couple more of just the top pages (the ones I added stuff to!)
This calendar makes for a fun, SIMPLE, gift!!! I'm all about quick in easy sometimes – especially when I have so many gifts on my list that I want to make – the Designer Templates are such a huge help! I love this particular kit as a good masculine gift option — the papers lend themselves to that style.
The next calendar I thought I would share is one that I'm printing off on magnets for my customers!!! It's a listing of all of the class times and dates for 2012, and I created it with the NEW CALENDAR FUNCTIONALITY that EVERYONE has if you have updated to the latest version of My Digital Studio!

It looks pretty small on the screen, but is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", so once printed, it will be much more readable!
I'm HOOKED on calendars…. and have been making them as gifts for EVERYONE this Christmas, in all sorts of forms! There are 2 other great calendar downloads — a 2012 Planner and a Jewel Case DVD — be sure to give them a lookie!

MDS Tuesday! A Trip to a Farm Pages & New Downloads
It's My Digital Studio Tuesday!!! In addition to sharing with you today's new downloads, I'm also going to share one of my newest MDS Scrapbook layouts.
This layout was a bit of a challenge… I really wanted some cute farm animal images, but am still waiting for the newest farm stamp set to be released in digital images, so went to Plan B… only there really WASN'T a Plan B… so "winging it!" is what it was! I fiddled and tinkered until I pulled in elements that I thought worked well, and in the end – I'm pleased with the results! And also taught myself a lesson that I don't always have to have EXACT things to "match up" with the photos – you can use lots of different combinations of things to get to a great design. So here it is!

MDS Tuesday! NEW Downloads, 4 New Pages!
It's MDS Tuesday!!! I woke up this morning COMPLETELY forgetting that it was Tuesday… so when I logged on to the Demonstrator Website and saw new downloads it was a wonderful surprise!
Today we've got some more GREAT embellishments… which if you've been following my MDS Tuesdays you know I get CRAZY excited about! Especially when they can be used with "boy stuff"! The first one is a Baker's Twine Add On with more colors!! LOVIN' THIS!!!! I tend to not be able to use my ribbon on all the boy pages I do – so the Baker's Twine is perfect and the new colors welcomed:
The other new thing is PAPER BUTTONS!!!! LOVING THESE!!!! They come in all 5 color families – shown here is the Brights. LOVE!
Now for some page samples!!! I have 4 pages to share this week (2, 2-page spreads). The first here is the first time I've made the photo the background paper. Seen it before, love it, just haven't had the right photos. For this one, I didn't want these photos out but didn't have too many to work with – so thought I would give it a try!

The second layout features one of the new kits – Grunge! I LOVE working with this kit – it's just PERFECT for my boys! This was probably one of the fastest, easiest layouts I've ever done (believe it or not, the one above took WAY longer!) but also one of my favorite.
