6:30 – 9:30 pm
at Aly's Stamping Studio in West Irondequoit, NY

Non-Refundable Pre-Pay Deadline: February 11th

Join me for the 2nd of our MONTHLY Scrapbooking Class! We met for the first time in January and had a ball – and hope that you'll join us for our February addition!

At each Scrapbooking Class you attend, you will complete 2, 2-page 12×12 layouts – 4 pages total. If you already scrapbook, add these pages to your existing album. If you don't, you could come to this class monthly and never scrapbook outside of class and have a fabulous 48-page album after a year!

The First Time you attend a Scrapbooking Class, you'll receive a FREE 12×12 Page Keeper to use every month to transport your completed pages home. In addition, at your first Scrapbooking Class Only, you can purchase any Scrapbook of your choice at a 20% discount!

Our February Scrapbooking Class is a "Love" Scrapbooking Class. Create fabulous love themed pages that can be used for Valentine Photos, Wedding Photos, Anniversary Photos — or just because you love someone photos! Use the pages for photos you have from 1970, or save them to use on photos that you will be taking in 2020!

Here's a look at just one of the layouts we will create that evening (these pages are designed to go side-by-side so the second page doesn't have a title). I've also left room for journaling on the first layout, but haven't added it in yet. Just as an aside, scrapbook photos are very difficult to photograph. I did the best I could, but the photos just doesn't do these layouts justice! If you would like to see them in person before you sign up for the class, stop on by my studio at any time and I would be happy to show them to you!:

Team Fabric Play Day!

On Saturday we had a Team Fabric Play Day! The girls that attended brought their sewing machines, and I supplied all different fun fabrics and big shot dies, and we just had a ball playing around with different combinations and learning how to sew in Stampin' Up! Style! Or for some of us… sew period!! We ended up with quilt squares and flower bag tags – so much fun! If you want to be included on these very special events, won't you consider joining our team?  Most of us are based in New York State, but often times, our long distance members travel to join us.  With the Sale-A-Bration special, it's a perfect time to take 15% off your starter kit and receive a free stamp set!

Jen had never sewn before, but she did great!

Patty and Jacki with their completed quilted flower bag tags – made with the Flower Folds Die!

Kriss was our expert quilter and taught us lots!

Amy, one of our newest Team Members, joined us for her very first Team Event! We were so happy to have her here. This was the square she did – didn't she do a beautiful job!?

I had received that square pattern for Free as Leadership Conference, so decided to play a little bit and did this square using the oval die from the Scallop Oval Frame, and the Scallop Circles in the middle:

Christine working on her square – love the purples!

You can check out even more pictures from our Team Fabric Play Day on my Facebok Fan Page – Aly Stamps!! Just click the Facebook Icon under "Socialize with Me" over in the right hand column for a direct link.

My Stamping & Scrapping Room

Hi Everyone!

I've had a lot of requests to see my Stamping Room after I posted Mary's yesterday — I had put pictures of my room on my old typepad blog, but have a lot of new viewers since then! So here is a re-post from November to put it on this site.

Enjoy!

September 18, 2009 – NEW Stamping Studio

I'm FINALLY settled into my NEW Stamping Studio!!!

As you may know from past posts, our basement flooded… sewer water… the day after we brought Landon home from the hospital… among the many other things that went wrong with our home that week!

It's been a long road, but the basement is finally finished! Well… except for the bathroom…. but that requires re-paining and everything… hopefully in the next few weeks that will be done as well.

It's SO NICE to finally be able to go down and design again. It's been entirely too long!

The entire basement was my Stamping Studio before the flood… but as we started working through the plan to re-do it, we decided that my studio would be in just half of the basement now, and that the other half would be a family room/play room for Landon. Or living room is quite small, and there's just not nearly enough room for his toys — they were taking over!

We also found that I was having to choose between stamping and spending time with my boys — and let's face it, I don't want to have to decide! Because of course I'm always going to choose my family which means I would never stamp… and it's kinda my job, something I need to do! Plus it's something I really enjoy.

SO, the New Stamping Studio is also the Family Room, but here it is!!!

Here's the basement after the flood but before we fixed it up (before the flood there was wall to wall carpeting that had to get ripped out):

Now here's the "NEW":

To the left is his play area and to the right is my stamping space, then there's a futon against the stairs coming down.

DSC04506

This is the "Family Room" side (I forgot to take my old punch rack down from the door before I took the photo — my studio used to take up the whole room, and the new one doesn't use it, I sold it to one of my downline).

There's also a wire card rack mounted to the wall at the bottom of the stairs:

DSC04487

Don't look too closely at the built in shelving, this was right before a class and I had just set a bunch of things down on it! To the right is my Pier One Shelf that was in our kitchen at our old house, all of my accessories and odds and ends are on that shelf:

DSC04488

I use Stampin' Up!'s Ribbon Holders for all of my ribbon. But I've outgrown them… I have 4 more Medium sized ones on order, they should be delivered in a few days!

The baskets below it hold extras of ribbon (so I only keep 1 open roll out at a time) in one, Ribbon Originals, Hemp, Linen Thread and Twill Tape in another, Odds & Ends Tools in another, and Wheel Handles and Empty Wheel Cartridges (uninked) in the last:

DSC04491

This shelf is my "color" shelf — my Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Spots, Sponges and Inked Cartridges are all here. I keep a sponge for each ink color on a clothespin and used the color name labels on each clothespin. Then I took the divider stamp cases with 6 rows in them and put 2 colors in each rows. This keeps 1 case per color family, and I put the color family label on the front of the cases.

I used the same divider cases for the Jumbo & Standard Wheel Cartridges — 1 case per color family, and then one of my color families needed 2 cases.

These cases are available to Demonstrators as a Supply Item.

DSC04492

All of my little accessory items are on Stack & Store Caddies. If the item doesn't come in these containers, I use the empty Containers sold to hold them in. So for example, all of my pretties pieces are divided out and on the caddy (besides the hatpins and flowers, those are in jars). I outgrew these as well, another is on the way for the ones stacked in the back!

DSC04493

The tan baskets hold the following…. 1) Extra Rubber mount pieces 2) Crafter's Tool Kit and other Tools 3) Cello Bags

The blue baskets hold…. 1) RubOns 2) Envelopes and 3) Technique "Stuff" (Spritzers, Oxi Clean, Masking Tape, Packing Tape, etc.)

DSC04494

This is a handy little basket with 2 dividers, I put my paper cutters on one half and my cutting aids (Circle Scissors Plus parts, Tearing Edge, etc.) in the other. Then I just slide my Grid Paper next to the basket:

DSC04495

These are Ikea Rails and Baskets that I've had sitting waiting to get put up for quite some time now! Thanks to my Dad for getting them up for me (after he helped Brad put all of the molding up around the floor! The floor that my brother helped Brad lay down! Ahhhh family!)So I think these things are pretty self explanatory because you can see them all… mainly Embossing stuff, glitter, adhesive, scissors…

DSC04496

The other set of bars are used for all of my punches…

All of my stamp sets are on a white bookshelf:

DSC04498

All of my 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock is on Office Paper Organizers set on a White Bookshelf:

DSC04499

For now, all of my dies and Big Shot Machine are on the shelves above the cardstock… I'm hoping for a better storage solution for these soon!

DSC04500

All of my 12×12 Cardstock, DSP, Chipboard, Sticky Sheets, etc. are in 12×12 Storage Cubbies stacked together to create a tower:

Next to all of my cardstock is a little cart with file folders for all of my scraps.

Thanks for taking a tour!!!

If you would like to see them in person before you sign up for the class, stop on by my studio at any time and I would be happt to show them to you!:
