MDS Blog Hop: Think Blue or Pink!

Happy Friday!!!! Today's challenge was to "Think Baby!" and use Blue or Pink. Thinking baby wasn't too hard for me since I'm STILL working on my 2009 album from the year Landon was born….. with all of the hiccups I've had with computers, I've gotten so crazy far behind in designing!

This page was actually my FIRST MDS PAGE!!!! But I didn't like it, so never shared it….. but….. now that I've gained more experience, I was able to go in this week and edit it and make changes to make me OK with it. It's funny how your pages can transform with a little bit of work!

It's very simple still…. but…. I didn't want to loose the photos and really wanted the page to just support the moment.

MDS Blog Hop… Sale-A-Bration CDs!

It's time for another Friday of My Digital Studio Blog Hopping!! Today's theme is "Sale-A-Bration CDs"!!!! This is a GREAT time for you to stock up on your favorite downloads, and get more downloads for free at the same time!

One of the Sale-A-Bration CDs is all of the Sale-A-Bration Exclusive Content in Digital Form (the 4 stamp sets, designer paper, ribbon and brads). The other CD is an exclusive "celebration" CD with designer paper, templates and embellishments.

The project that I'm going to share with you today is a card that I made using BOTH of these CDs so you can see how they cross over nicely!

The DSP and the flower embellishments are from the Celebrate CD, and then the "You did it!" and flower images below that are part of the Sale-A-Bration Content CD! I also used the Cheap Talk Stamp Set (comes pre-loaded on MDS), Glimmer Brads and Lucky Limeade Ruffle Ribbon (additional downloads available for purchase).

To color the wing of the bird a different color, I created and re-sized a punch that would cover it, then moved it behind the bird so it "fit".

This card is a sneak peek some of my girls might not want to see….. I just ordered a bunch of them for March Team Recognition!! I plan to jazz them up with a little somethin' somethin' when they come in… probably glitter!

MDS Blog Hop…. It’s GOOD to be BACK!

Oh my goodness…. it is so GOOD to be BACK!!!!!! I have REALLY missed being a part of the MDS Blog Hop the past month…. I have had computer issue after computer issue, lost entire hard drives…. and been WITHOUT a computer for some period of the time…. when I've had a back up computer, I haven't been able to put MDS on it…. so my Digital Designing has been put on mega hold. But…. I'm happy to have my MDS Laptop BACK!!! I'm still going through the very long process of getting all my files back to it…. but it's coming.

And I have an idea to share with you today! Yay!! The theme this week was to use a Designer Template. This project is an 8×8 Designer Template for the Sweet Pea Digital Kit. Several circles are for photos, but I filled them with DSP and made it a photo-free page to simply act as a JPEG to have printed on misc. products for downline gifts! I had a bunch of Mouse Pads and Tote Bags printed up, and the formatted fit perfectly. I gave them all away already so don't have a photo of the finished product to share…. but I will be ordering more soon and will share them when I can snap some photos at that time! MDS Friday – Christmas Countdown!

Happy Friday!!! It's time for an MDS Blog Hop! This rest of the month we're going to be showing you things that we're working on for Christmas!!!

What I'm sharing today is a fun project I've been doing with my son. He's 2 1 /2 and at such a fun age, just starting to "get it" with the whole Christmas thing! While I really WANTED to do a countdown calendar with our Peekaboo Frame Die on Stampin' Store Containers… I just didn't have the time. SO, I designed this sign in MDS, and printed of 25, changing the numbers for each day!

Then, every day, I've been taking a picture of him holding the sign! It started off with a letter from the North Pole letting him know what we were doing — that if he was a good boy and held up the number for a photo, he would get to do a fun Christmas Activity to celebrate!

Then, I've been putting all of the photos into a Swatchbook! That way he'll have it for all of the memories — with 26 pages including the cover, it comes out perfect for the 25 Days of Christmas! Here are some of the pages:

MDS Friday – Some Christmas Tags!

Happy Friday!!! It's time for an MDS Blog Hop! This week's theme was MONOCHROMATIC! I have to admit, this was a tough one for me…. I'm a color person and sticking to 1 was very challenging! I just couldn't make it work in any of my scrapbook pages (I'm way too matchy matchy!) so decided to try some Christmas Tags with less area to fill. I love how they turned out!! Here they are:

Now to go finish Christmas Shopping…….. and then wrap the gifts………. so that I can put these on something!!!

MDS Friday: Remembrance

It's time for another My Digital Studio Friday Challenge & Blog Hop!!!

This week's challenge was "REMEMBRANCE !" It's been a while since I've worked on my 2009 album with all of the projects I've had going on — and I REALLY need to get back to that – before 2011 ends! So I looked through my photos to see what I could use to fit the theme, and found some Memorial Day and thought that would fit – remembrance, memorial…. 'ya know!

So here is the page I came up with:

This page is such a hodgepodge of things!!! The background paper is from Well Worn, the strip along the bottom is from the Noteworthy Digital Content CD and a thin strip of cardstock with some stitching. The stamp brushes I used as well as the star shape are all from Red, White and Blue Embellishments Kit. Then we have some Vintage Trinkets, Deck the Halls Buttons and Baker's Twine!
