The Cuteness Tent

So here's one of my Top 3 Reasons for LOVING my job as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator:

What does that adorable photo of the cutest tent in town have to do with being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator? SO MUCH! Little blondie in the back is my son, Landon. He's 15 months old and I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for him! Being a Demonstrator allows me the freedom and flexibility to be home with that beautiful little boy and keep him out of daycare. I work while he's napping and after he's gone to bed!

Little blue eyes laying down is my 7 month old nephew, Jackson, who has been with us for the past week!!! My brother and sister-in-law took a trip to Italy and he needed someone to love on him for a week, and being a Demonstrator allowed me to say "YES!" and spend an entire week taking care of this little guy and getting to know him.

Jackson's parents are picking him back up tomorrow night and life will go back to normal order, but I just love that Stampin' Up! allows me to provide for my family both financially and with my time.

Spring Retreat – Paris Nights Dinner Party!

Today I'm going to share with you our Friday Night Dinner Party from Retreat Weekend – a Paris Nights Dinner!!!

One of the reasons we love the location that we hold the retreat at so much is because it has this huge industrial size kitchen so everyone brings a dish to pass for the weekend and we stick it in the oven and don't have to worry about paying for expensive catering! Here are the girls who signed up for Friday Night Dinner getting it ready to be put out!

The tables were decorated..

Each person had a Paris themed favor at their tables – Coconut Macaroons jazzed up with a stamp from "Chic Boutique" — the theme stamp set for the night!

After dinner we had some games, the first one… I used these French Decor Elements from our DD catalog and made up Flash Cards in true Stampin' Up! Style!

I involved Stampin' Up! Staff on this one… I had e-mailed my Service Accounts Manager at Stampin' Up! to be the "right" answers… she named for us a Stampin' Up! Product for each letter on the flash cards, and everyone had to think of the same… if their answer lined up with the Stampin' Up! Staff answer, they got a point! Here is a table deep in concentration…

Kriss was so deep in concentration that she actually light her napkin on fire and had to rush it to the bathroom sink…. we were DYING and I couldn't get to my camera in time, this was the best that I could do…

Then I had a prize table for people who ended with the highest points…

Then another one of the prizes was this cute Chef set…

And a couple of wire decorations that I just had to get because of how they coordinated with the Chic Boutique stamp set!

The next game after this one was a Stampin' Up! Relay Race. We had a table set up at the end filled with Stampin' Up! Products and there were 2 Teams. Each person had to run up and complete a step on the card and the first Team to finish won!

And the winning Team each got a little bundle of "Merci" chocolates from Paris stamped with of course the Chic Boutique Stamp Set…

Phew! What a fun night!!!!! AND…. the night was still very young as this post ends! After the Paris Nights Dinner we had a stamping class that focused on the Summer Mini Catalog, a "Name Badge Runway" and late night Shoebox Swap Stamping!

March Team Time!

We had a fantastic Heartfelt Stamper's Team Time last night!! We have re-vamped our Team Times and have a fabulous, fun new format where we're creating a Technique Page, Card and 3-D Project each month!

Jen Rios Raner led our card project this month, here she is teaching us how to use the Tulipe Die negative for stenciling!

And here is her fantastic creation that we each made!

I can't share the technique page or the 3-D project that we did here, that's exclusive for attendees and Out of State Team Members – one of the many perks of being on our Team! But I will share with you the cover of my Technique book. I issued a "Technique Cover Contest" for each of the girls that attended, they were all given a blank cover and then this month need to decorate it in whatever way they wish, then we'll be voting on our favorites at our Retreat Weekend and giving out free prizes to the winners!

Team Fabric Play Day!

On Saturday we had a Team Fabric Play Day! The girls that attended brought their sewing machines, and I supplied all different fun fabrics and big shot dies, and we just had a ball playing around with different combinations and learning how to sew in Stampin' Up! Style! Or for some of us… sew period!! We ended up with quilt squares and flower bag tags – so much fun! Amy, one of our newest Team Members, joined us for her very first Team Event! We were so happy to have her here. This was the square she did – didn't she do a beautiful job!?

I had received that square pattern for Free as Leadership Conference, so decided to play a little bit and did this square using the oval die from the Scallop Oval Frame, and the Scallop Circles in the middle:
