Celebration with Lots of Texture!

I had so much fun creating this card for all of my Top Ten Sales Achievers this month! It has oodles of texture adding to the interest of the card.

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• Spice up your backgrounds by selecting Textured Cardstock instead of solid, as the So Saffron cardstock layer is here! Add another element of interest by embossing the stars with White Embossing Powder.
• These "gathered" paper pieces are very easy to do – simply take a 3/4" x 12" piece of Designer Paper, put a full strip of adhesive down the paper, secure it to the cardstock at the top, and then just fold the paper randomly as you're attaching it to the cardstock.
• Jazz up any card by stamping a coordinating image on a piece of cardstock, punching it with a 1" Circle Punch, and popping it behind one of our Clear Buttons!

Flower Fancy Birthday

Here is a Birthday Card that I made for my Grandma! I just love working with this stamp set, Flower Fancy. It's so striking!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• All of the paper shown here comes from the "Shades of Spring" Designer Series Paper Pack in the Occasions Mini Catalog – I just love it! I'm not normally a pastel person, but paired with this stamp set love the softness it brings.
• To achieve the flower look that I have, I inked up the solid image in Classic Ink and then misted it with a Shimmer Paint mixture before inking.
• I never use Square Rhinestone Brads! Never! So I challenged myself to put them to use as much as I can this week in my creating. Here's attempt number 1!

I had so much fun designing these birthday cards… maybe a little too much fun! When I was done, I just had to laugh at what my work table looked like. It very much looked like a bomb had gone off! Polka Dot Birthday Wishes!

One of our baby sitter's birthday was on Halloween, so I had to make her a Birthday Card! Her favorite colors are pink and brown, so that's what I worked with. We haven't given her the card yet… but I'm sure she'll love it!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• The Pretty in Pink button was made a little more playful by punching out a Melon Mambo circle from the Crop-A-Dile and adhering it in the center with a Mini Glue Dot! FUN!
• To make the background "pop" just a little more, I punched out several 1" Circles from the same cardstock (Chocolate Chip Textured) and adhered them all over the card. Tone on Tone accents can be just the right little extra something sometimes!
• Crystal Effects has done it again! I think I've used this medium in about every other card posted lately. My point has been made – it's just an awesome extra somethin' somethin'! Add it to your next order, you'll love it!
• A 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds is what gives the candle flame it's "bling!"
