A couple of weeks ago we celebrated my niece's birthday. Being the only girl in the family… it had to be made a pretty girly event!!! My mom went all out and decorated the patio with Die Cut Butterflies… check it out!

A SWAP by Phyl

One of my favorite things about Team Time is seeing the SWAPS that everyone comes up with! This month, Team Member Phyl Lyons made this beautiful swap showcasing the Fancy Flower Punch!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• To create the suede look to these flowers as Phyl did here, punch out your flowers and rough them up with a Bone Folder, bending the cardstock around the Bone Folder to break down the fibers. Once the fibers break down, the cardstock will start to separate into two pieces. Pull the pieces apart and you know have 2 suede looking flowers to work with!
• Our Whisper White Craft Ink is the perfect choice for stamping on a darker color, as shown here with the Whisper White flowers on the Soft Suede Cardstock.

Circle Success Card

Every month I make a card for my Top 10 Sales Achievers on "The Heartfelt Stamper's" Team. Here is the card that I made for May Sales, awarded this month at Team Time!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• I'm a bit obsessed with the color combination from the June Card Kit of the Month and also the Stamp-A-Stack. I'm having a hard time getting away from it! So I switched it up slightly for this card, I used Wild Wasabi (an UPCOMING color for the Color Renovation!) instead of Old Olive.
• This stamp set, Circle Circus, is the PERFECT stamp set to give your punches a workout! Every stamp lines up with a punch – mostly the circle punches but then the 1 image shown on this card lines up with the Scallop Circle Punch. It's SO EASY being able to stamp and punch your images – no cutting is always a good thing in my book! This stamp set is also an extremely versatile stamp set – it can serve as a wonderful set for masculine cards as well!
• The greeting at the bottom is on a large circle that was die cut on the Circle Big Shot Die.
• Finished Dimensions – 4" x 4"

With Heartfelt Sympathy

I created this card a few weeks ago for a friend who lost her mother. This stamp set sentiment is near and dear to me heart because it says "With HEARTFELT Sympathy" and my Demonstrator Team is called The HEARTFELT Stampers! This stamp set made it's way onto the retiring list and will be greatly missed – order your copy while you still can!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• Isn't the Designer Paper on this card delicious? It's part of the "Lovely Flowers" Bundle that is a Level 3 Hostess Exclusive retiring June 30th!
• The reason the flower focal image is so sharp is because it's a RubOn! These RubOns are also included in the "Lovely Flowers" Bundle – contact me to get a workshop on the books before the end of the month so you can earn it for FREE along with other terrific goodies!
• TIP: Try using a Decor Element Applicator to apply your RubOns – it covers more surface area and allows for a cleaner transfer.
• Purple and Yellow make a fantastic color combination. We're going to have some fantastic dark purples in the new catalog, but on June 30th we're saying goodbye to our light purple collection. The background of this card is Almost Amethyst which is retiring purple – order it while you still can before June 30th!

A Star is Born!

This card is WAY behind in posting… it was the Congratulations Card I made for my Top 10 Sales Achievers for the month of March! In my defense, they did just get distributed at the April Retreat Weekend (we didn't have a First Thursday Team Time due to the Retreat Weekend) and then I was on vacation… I know, excuses, excuses! Here it is!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• For the chipboard star on this card, I ran a piece of So Saffron Cardstock through the Big Shot Machine with the Polka Dot Impressions Folder prior to adhering it to the chipboard for a little extra "texture!"
• In need of a different way to tie ribbon around a card? Sick of the same old same old? Try this! Use the Horizontal Slot Punch to punch into the card, and then string your ribbon around through that instead of the other edge of the card – a new look in an easy step!
• The blue used here, "Bermuda Bay" will be retiring and gone forever on June 30th!!! Order it while you still can!
• The sentiment "A Star is Born!" came from the Level 1 Exclusive Stamp Set "Picture This" in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Stay tuned, I'll have it for sale on July 1st!
