Today I'm bringing you back to vintage! I'm smitten with the new vintage line up… I just adore the look!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• Vintage is all about collage-like layers which is made easy with our two new stamp sets, Artistic Etchings and Notably Ornate. The two sets combine to coordinate beautifully with one another – just ink them up and start stamping! If you see a bank area, stamp again!
• If you're in a Vintage Creative Block – just start adding layers and embellishments — here, I've layered a Jewel Pearl over top of a filigree brad, sprayed some smooch spritz, tied some Satin Ribbon…. rip, tear, distress — you get the picture!

Woodland Newsprint

I'm in love with this new stamp set, Growing Green. It's fabulous for watercoloring! I paired it with one of our newest designer series papers, Newsprint, to give it a different look!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• To achieve the watercolored look shown here, load your Rich Razzleberry ink into an Aqua Painter and color 1 petal at a time, allowing it to run out before reloading – that way, each of your colors are a different tone! For best results, use Watercolor Paper.
• The sentiment "Thanks so much" is from a stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog called "Watercolor Trio". My reason for loving it? Because all of the sentiments in the set (3 total) fit PERFECTLY in the Designer Label Punch/Hodgepodge Hardware accent!
• Vintage Brads are a DELICIOUS new accessory, I used one here on the right hand side of the Designer Label Hodgepodge Hardware piece. Elements of Style… Wonderful Color Combo!

I'm just in LOVE with this color combination… I was playing around with color and had Elegant Eggplant and Rich Razzleberry in my hand to decide which of the 2 purples to use and decided that I liked them TOGETHER and not to pick one! Then I had Certainly Celery and Old Olive in my hand to decide which green to put with them and OOOOOH it was EYE CANDY!!!! So this color combo was a result of not being able to make any decisions…! For once a lack of decision making was a GOOD thing!

And since you're repeating designs, you have more cards to GIVE AND SEND because you don't hoard them (yes… we all know you have a hard time sending your only copies of cards!). Stamp-A-Stack participants receive the featured accessory (this month is Mini Vintage Tags) with their registration.
2. Purchase the featured cards completed in my boutique! By going this route, all of the work is done for you. All you have to do is send the cards! No need to have any of the supplies or go anywhere – handmade card making couldn't be easier!

A Vintage Detour

• Corduroy Buttons are the perfect touch to any masculine card! I jazzed up this card with this accessory in Pumpkin Pie.
• The Pumpkin Pie Designer Button on this card has been taken outside the box by inserting a 5/16" Neutral Brad through the holes instead of thread!
• I was thrilled to break out the "My Way" Punch for a change! This is a punch that has been collecting a bit of dust on my shelf – but with this stamp set… it's the perfect match!
