These are the same Notecards that you can purchase already folded with envelopes – they just work wonders for quick and easy! But they can't do it alone… our Designer Paper is a must in order to add interest to the card but still have simplicity. Then I tied some ribbon around and on goes an image – easy peasy!

I thought I would still share it with you, even though it's so similar, so you can see a different take on color, accessories and sentiments.

 

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

  • Black is a wonderfully rich, vibrant, neutral color that I think we take for granted all to often. We're so quick to stamp our outlines and greetings in black, but I think rarely do we pull the black into different areas of our card to accent with embellishments in cardstock. This card is a wonderful example of how far black can take a card – doesn't it just make things pop off the page!?
  • I'm in a rut with these Flower Brads! And it's not a BAD thing – but I just can't stop sticking them on top of this stem image from the "For Everything" stamp set. I just love the look!
  • Have you given our new Patterns Paper Stacks a try yet? If not, you should! They are a fantastic assortment – a girl doesn't need much more than her Polka Dots and Stripes! And to have them in EVERY color for an entire collection? Oh yea! That's what I'm taking about!!! Shown here in Razzleberry and Turquoise.

It's fabulous for watercoloring! I paired it with one of our newest designer series papers, Newsprint, to give it a different look!

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

  • To achieve the watercolored look shown here, load your Rich Razzleberry ink into an Aqua Painter and color 1 petal at a time, allowing it to run out before reloading – that way, each of your colors are a different tone! For best results, use Watercolor Paper.
  • The sentiment "Thanks so much" is from a stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog called "Watercolor Trio". My reason for loving it? Because all of the sentiments in the set (3 total) fit PERFECTLY in the Designer Label Punch/Hodgepodge Hardware accent!
  • Vintage Brads are a DELICIOUS new accessory, I used one here on the right hand side of the Designer Label Hodgepodge Hardware piece. Because I find I'm always wanting to share things from "The Regional" – but there wasn't actually a Regional! So these SWAPS are from the "Regional that Wasn't"!! A bunch of ladies that were attending and already had their SWAPS done mailed them so that we could still exchange some ideas. I still have about 40 SWAPS un-swapped… I think I'll have to sign up for an online SWAP somewhere!

Created by Kristen Koskie: Kristen used one of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions Mini Catalog, Vintage Vogue! I love the simplicity of this card and what she's done to distress the Scallop Circle Punch and make it into a floral accent.

Created by Debbie Sowards: This stamp set "Simply Said", is an oldie but a goodie! It's been around the block for a while, but it never gets old to me. Every time I see a card done with it, I just say "Oh how I love that stamp set!" I just love Debbie's color selection of Sage Shadow, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip.

Created by Michelle Fairbrother: The top of this card that the flower is on is actually a flap that opens up and you can stick a gift card or note inside! Very cute. I also love how she created the flower itself by distressing circle layers – it looks like she did the same thing as Kristen did on the first card I showed and misted water on the cardstock to crinkle it up better. Her use of the Scallop Corner Punch is also very cleaver!
