The Chalkboard Trend!
Happy MDS Blog Hop Wednesday!
Today is the day of the month where we share with you what we've been working on. So I thought I'd share with you the card that I made for recognition at our March Stamp Fest! I like to do Hybrid cards as often as possible so that there is some 3-D element to them. This is what the card front looked like when I sent it off to our Professional Printer…

And then here's the finished hybrid version with a Button and Baker's Twine added!

Chalkboard Design is SO trendy right now! It's everywhere. And when you pair MDS's Chalkboard DSP with some FREE Chalkboard Fonts, it's super easy to create Chalkboard Projects! The "Convention 2012 Digital Kit" is my favorite download for Chalkboard Pages and themed accents ("Back to School" rocks, too). And here is a list of my favorite FREE Chalkboard Fonts…

Have some fun playing around with these!

It’s All About Hearts :)

It's the 2nd Wednesday of the month, which means it's time for our HOLIDAY themed MDS Blog Hop. Since February's holiday is Valentine's Day, today is all about hearts, love and cupid! I've been busy gearing up for Valentine's Day, so have a couple of different projects to share with you today – yay!
First, here are the goodie bags that I made for my son to bring into pre-school. They use Stampin' Up!'s gusseted bags to hold everything and then the tag is designed in My Digital Studio and tied on with some of our ribbons.
.jpg)
Then I took that same tag design and recolored the objects on it to make a tag that matched the treat boxes that I bought for his teachers…

There's overhang on the circle tags, but it all gets neatly trimmed away when punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. I thought they came out pretty cute! Don't forget you can download a complete supply list of all Digital Downloads used at the bottom of this post.
The other thing that I made in MDS this past month that fits today's theme are Congratulations Cards. Since my Team is called the "Heartfelt Stampers" Valentine's Day is kinda our holiday! Every month I design a card in MDS that goes out for recognition to the Top 10 Sales Achievers, those who've recruited, promoted, etc. I order the cards through Stampin' Up!'s professional printer and just love the quality! Here is what I did for February.

When the cards came in, I tied some Baker's Twine through large Vintage Faceted Buttons and attached them to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. So these cards are "Hybrid" Cards — Digital meets Traditional!
