Grand Opening of… The Stamp Shoppe!

WHO is the Stamp Shoppe for? – Truly Anyone! Whether you're an experienced stamper or have never stamped in your life, the Stamp Shoppe is for you!

WHAT is the Stamp Shoppe? A chance for you to relax, unwind, enjoy fellowship with other Stampers, browse a themed "Display of the Month" and STAMP at YOUR leisure as you float from station to station at YOUR speed/pace! At Card Shoppe you'll make SIX cards and at Scrapbook Shoppe you'll make THREE 12"x12" Scrapbook Pages. Are you a somewhat speedy stamper? You'll have time to do BOTH if you so choose!

WHEN is Stamp Shoppe? The Stamp Shoppe is open the second Friday and Saturday of every month. Our Grand Opening is on September 10th and 11th! The Stamp Shoppe is open from 6:30 – 9:30 pm on Friday Evenings and from 10 am – 1 pm on Saturday Mornings. If you're coming to just Card Shoppe OR Scrapbooking Shoppe, you can arrive at any time during the first hour of the Shoppe's opening for the day. If you're coming to BOTH Card Shoppe and Scrapbooking Shoppe, you'll want to arrive when Stamp Shoppe first opens so that you have enough time for both! The Stamp Shoppe will have different projects every month, so Friday and Saturday projects are the same on a given month, the two times is so that you can pick the best time that works for you.

WHERE is Stamp Shoppe? Just a mile down the road from my Stamping Studio at Trinity Communion Church, 759 Winona Blvd, Rochester NY 14617 (near Titus and St. Paul Blvd.)

Woodland Thanks

I've been falling in love with our "Note Cards" that are a slightly smaller card size, but can still be put in the mail. I've been trying to keep up with sending out "thank yous" amidst the busy schedule – and they've been a life saver! Nope, I haven't died. I'm still alive and kickin'…. just not stampin'!!! Well… I've been stamping, just not anything that I can show here because it's been design work for upcoming exclusive Team Member Events!! Stampin’ Western Roundup Invitations!

Every year a put on a BIG Shindig for the Top Sellers and Recruiters in my downline. I pick a different theme every year, last year we had a Japanese themed event. This year – we're having a Backyard Western Event inspired by a dear friend's wedding theme I recently attended. The girls that attend get spoiled rotten and have a blast! Here are the invitations that I made up for this special day:

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• I thought there was no need for me to have the new Build-A-Bear Designer Paper…. until I started to prepare for this Country event and discovered the FABULOUS Poppy Parade checked pattern paper!! It was just too perfect, so I had to get it for these cards and other projects we'll be doing the day of… now to figure out to do with all of the rest! I guess I better have a paper doll party for some little girls in the area!
• To give an aged look to the cardstock and paper, I sponged on some More Mustard Classic Ink. This step is really what "did it" for the card!
• I'm totally digging the the new Poly Twill 1/2" Ribbon… it's just delish!! I've used the Poppy Parade Color on this card to coordinate…. mmm, mmm!

Blossom in a Box!

I've had this Flower Folds Die for a while now, and since I got the fabulous Extra $25 from Stampin' Up! on a qualifying order this month I buckled and got this Bitty Box Die as well with my Hostess Benefits!

Here's what the two pieces of this project look like…

And then the flower fold folds up and pops right inside the box…

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• This project is darling, but really, very, very easy to put together! The dies do all of the work – you just have to pop them together and add a little jazz!
• In Colors take the Stage with this project… Pear Pizzaz, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade! These 3 colors paired with Daffodil Delight is what the "Sunny Garden" Designer Series Paper is all about (which I used on the 1 1/4" Circle Punch).
• I just love when things coordinate (it's my FAVORITE thing about Stampin' Up! products!) so I was ALL OVER it when I saw that this Designer Series Paper matched the "Cottage Garden" stamp set.
• When assembling the Bitty Box, be sure to use Sticky Strip so that it holds up well to movement. When cutting Sticky Strip, I like to use the Craft & Rubber Scissors so that I don't gunk up the ones reserved for paper or ribbon.

Designer Flowers of Thanks

This card was actually a card that I had made a while back that inspired my August Card Kit of the Month (available for just 10 more days!). I thought I would still share it with you, even though it's so similar, so you can see a different take on color, accessories and sentiments.

ALY'S HELPFUL HINTS:

• Black is a wonderfully rich, vibrant, neutral color that I think we take for granted all to often. We're so quick to stamp our outlines and greetings in black, but I think rarely do we pull the black into different areas of our card to accent with embellishments in cardstock. This card is a wonderful example of how far black can take a card – doesn't it just make things pop off the page!?
• I'm in a rut with these Flower Brads! And it's not a BAD thing – but I just can't stop sticking them on top of this stem image from the "For Everything" stamp set. I just love the look!
• Have you given our new Patterns Paper Stacks a try yet? If not, you should! They are a fantastic assortment – a girl doesn't need much more than her Polka Dots and Stripes! And to have them in EVERY color for an entire collection? Oh yea! That's what I'm taking about!!! Shown here in Razzleberry and Turquoise.
